YDS (Yabancı Dil Sınavı)
It is an exam held in Turkeywhich measures one’sforeign language proficiency. It is held twice a year (Spring and Autumn) to test various languages. The one held in the Spring conducts these languages’ exam; German, Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Danish, Armenian, Farsi, French, Georgian, Dutch, English, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Hungarian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Ukrainian and Greek but the exam in autumn is only conducted in German, Arabic, French, English and Russian. Although in one semester, only one foreign language test can be entered.
The exam lasts for 2 hours and a half and consists of 80 Multiple-choice questions. This exam tests one’s Vocabulary, Grammar, translation and comprehension reading.
Using dictionaries of any kind is not allowed
